What is a friend?
A friend is like the plant that grows in the same place as where you planted the seed. And this plant provides all of your needs and tranquilizes your anxiety. They nullify your fears and follow you to find peace. So many people will plant seeds and nothing will grow and yet they will still be misguided in to believing this is the actions of a friend. Others will spend no time planting the seeds and expect that plant to grow. This is not the basis of a true friendship either.
When they speak their mind and you have no fears to disagree. When they’re silent and yet you know their thoughts. When they’re gone and you don’t miss them, because what you love about them becomes more clear in their absence, than when they’re standing by your side. A friend does not try to dry up the ocean of your happiness, nor put out the fire of your wrath. They don’t resent your fortune, nor smile at your grief. They accept you for either and love you for neither.
A friend is as loyal to you as you to them. They do not lie, because they know you can accept the truth. They do not steal because they know you can accept the truth. They do not steal because they know you would give it to them if they asked, and they would supply you the same. They recognize your dreams and do nothing to stand in the way of them, but rather guide you toward them.
They do all this, because they know you would to the same. A friend is a rare commodity that a person will only find a few times in the span of their life. During the hours of days spent freely, these hours should be spent with them. For hours are minimal and if they truly are a friend, these hours belong to them.
It is important when finding a friend that you keep them, by making absolutely sure you are one as well.

We only regret the chances we didn't take
In the end,
we only regret the chances we didn't take,
relationships we are afraid to have,
and the decisions we waited too long to make.

Fear of trusting people
Pistanthrophobia
is the very common fear of trusting people
due to past experiences with relationships gone bad.

The only thing that burns in Hell...
The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won’t let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they’re not punishing you, he said. They’re freeing your soul. So, if you’re frightened of dying and… and you’re holding on, you’ll see devils tearing your life away. But if you’ve made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth.

They will break no matter what we do
I am tired of trying to hold things together that cannot be held. Trying to control what cannot be controlled. I am tired of denying myself what I want for fear of breaking things I cannot fix.
They will break no matter what we do.

Get over your self-sabotage
How to feel fulfilled as an artist
(or, how to get over your self-sabotage)
1. Never compare yourself to other artists.
2. Know that your family is biased, whether for or against you, their views are skewed and do not represent an accurate reflection of your work in the world.
3. Base your success on how your art has enriched your life and how you feel when you create it.
4. Constantly push yourself to expand and learn.
5. Know that art can never be measured in dollars – and will only ever appreciate in value.
6. Trust that when you are making the world more beautiful, there is always enough. Honest work is not a compromise if it supports the creation of art.
7. Remember, it’s the job of the artist to create new culture, not simply to regurgitate what exists.
8. Never expect your family to understand your art, but do your best to educate them about it, patiently.
9. Whenever a client/gallery owner/patron offers their advice, smile and nod. Then create your art authentically.
10 Remember what Dali said: “Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it.”

Fear is a choice
You must realize, that fear is not real. It’s a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real, but fear is a choice.
